Privacy policy
Growing with PPC audits and manages pay-per-click advertising for US service businesses. This policy explains what information growingwithppc.com collects, why, who it is shared with, how long it is kept and the choices available. Questions go to kevin@growingwithppc.com.
Information collected
- Audit request form. First and last name, email, phone number, website, the ad platforms selected, the monthly ad spend range selected and anything written in the message box. The form provider also records technical details with each submission, such as the date and time, IP address and the page it came from.
- Email and calls. Whatever is included when someone writes to or speaks with the business directly.
- Ad account access, if a client grants it. Access to ad, analytics or tag accounts, and the campaign data inside them, used only to carry out the agreed audit or management work.
- Usage data. Pages viewed, approximate location (city or region), device and browser type, referring page and similar technical data, collected through cookies and similar tools (see below) and through standard server logs kept by the hosting provider.
No sensitive information (such as health, financial account or government ID details) is requested, and none should be sent through the form.
How it is used
- To reply to an audit request, prepare a proposal and deliver the agreed work.
- To keep business records (contacts, notes and correspondence) in a customer relationship management (CRM) system.
- To understand how the website is used, improve it and measure whether advertising for this website works.
- To keep the website secure and to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
Form details are used for the request they came with. Marketing email, such as a newsletter, is sent only to people who have asked for it, and every such email includes an unsubscribe link. Personal details are not sent to analytics tools: when the form is submitted, only the platforms and spend range chosen are recorded as a conversion, never the name, email, phone number, website or message.
Cookies and analytics
The website uses Google Tag Manager to load Google Analytics. If paid advertising for this website runs, Google Ads conversion measurement and remarketing may be added. These tools use cookies or similar identifiers to count visits and conversions, and Google may use them to recognise the same browser across other websites. How Google uses this data is explained at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
If remarketing is used, Google may show ads for this business to past visitors on other websites. Personalised ads can be turned off at myadcenter.google.com or optout.aboutads.info.
Cookies can be blocked or deleted in browser settings, and Google offers an opt-out add-on for Google Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Web fonts load from Google Fonts, which receives the visitor’s IP address to deliver them. The website does not respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals, because there is no common standard for them. A Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal is treated as a request to opt out of any advertising cookies, as described under “Privacy rights”.
Who information is shared with
Personal information is not sold and is not rented or traded. It is shared only with service providers that help run the business and handle it under their own privacy and security terms:
- Zoho (Zoho Forms, Zoho CRM and Zoho Mail) stores form submissions, contact records and email, in Zoho’s US data centre.
- Vercel hosts the website and keeps short-term server logs.
- Google provides Tag Manager, Analytics, web fonts and, if used, advertising measurement.
Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect rights, property or safety, or as part of a sale or transfer of the business. Details about a client’s business are kept confidential and are not shared with other clients.
How long it is kept
Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept for up to 24 months, then deleted. Client records are kept for as long as the working relationship lasts and afterwards for as long as needed for legal, tax and accounting purposes. Google Analytics event data is kept for up to 14 months; aggregated reports with no personal details may be kept longer.
Security
Data is kept with established providers that use encryption in transit, access controls and regular security updates, and accounts are protected with strong passwords and two-step sign-in. Access to client ad accounts is limited to the agreed work and removed when the work ends. No system is perfectly secure, so any suspected issue should be reported to the email above.
Privacy rights
Anyone, wherever they live, can ask to:
- know what personal information is held about them and get a copy;
- correct it if it is wrong;
- delete it, except where it must be kept for legal, tax or accounting reasons;
- stop marketing email at any time;
- opt out of their data being used for targeted advertising, if remarketing is in use. Turning on Global Privacy Control in a browser counts as this request for that browser.
These choices match the rights given by US state privacy laws, such as those in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and Texas, and by the GDPR in the UK and European Union. Using them will never lead to worse treatment or prices.
To make a request, email kevin@growingwithppc.com. A reply will normally follow within 30 days. Before acting, the business may need to confirm that the request comes from the person concerned, usually by replying from the email address on file. Someone can also make a request on another person’s behalf with that person’s written permission. If a request is refused, a reply to the same email can ask for the decision to be reconsidered, and the person may also contact their state attorney general or local data protection authority.
Children
The website and services are for businesses and are not directed at children under 16. Information from children is not knowingly collected; if it has been, it will be deleted on request.
International processing
Growing with PPC’s service providers mainly process data in the United States. Information may be accessed or stored outside the visitor’s home country. Where the law requires it, the providers’ standard data protection terms are relied on for these transfers.
Changes
This policy may be updated as the business or its tools change. The effective date at the top shows when it last changed, and significant changes will be noted on this page.
